Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: September 24, 2026

Our commitment

Moss & Fawn is committed to making mossandfawn.com usable for every parent, caregiver, and gift-giver, including people with disabilities. We want you to be able to browse products, read care information, and place an order with the same independence as any other customer.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time badge. If something on the Site gets in your way, we want to know so we can fix it or help you complete the task another way.

Standards we follow

Moss & Fawn is a United States company. The law that applies to our public-facing website is Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The U.S. Department of Justice has long taken the position that Title III’s nondiscrimination and effective-communication requirements cover websites of businesses open to the public. There is still no separate DOJ technical rule or compliance deadline for private retail websites.

In practice, courts, settlements, and accessibility professionals use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as the benchmark. Our target is **WCAG 2.1 Level AA**. We are also working toward **WCAG 2.2 Level AA** where those newer criteria apply to our Shopify theme and content.

The Department of Justice’s 2024 web rule, and the later extension of its dates to 2027 and 2028, applies to state and local government websites under Title II of the ADA. Those dates do not apply to mossandfawn.com. We still use WCAG 2.1 AA because it is the clearest shared standard for a U.S. store.

We do not claim that this Site is fully conformant with WCAG, certified under the ADA, or covered by the European Accessibility Act.

What we do to support accessibility

We work to:

- Use clear page titles and a logical heading structure
- Keep primary navigation, product pages, cart, and account flows usable with a keyboard
- Add descriptive alternative text to product and content images
- Maintain readable text and sufficient color contrast in our theme
- Support browser and operating-system accessibility settings, such as zoom and reduced motion
- Provide a way to skip repetitive header content where the theme allows it
- Review new templates, product pages, and apps when we add them
- Offer human help if the Site is difficult to use

This Site may also display an optional accessibility toolbar from Accessibly App. That toolbar can enlarge text, adjust contrast, highlight links, pause animation, and similar preferences. It is an extra aid for some visitors. It does not replace accessible design in our theme, and installing it does not mean the Site fully meets WCAG or the ADA.

Known limitations

Some parts of the Site are harder to make fully accessible because they are controlled by Shopify or by third-party apps. These can include:

- Shopify checkout and Shop Pay
- Search, reviews, subscriptions, pop-ups, or similar store apps
- Customer reviews, photos, and other user-generated content
- Older landing or campaign pages
- Product images that still need stronger alternative text
- Embedded video, social feeds, or advertising scripts

Assistive technology also varies. A page that works well with one screen reader or browser may still be difficult with another. We keep improving these areas as we find them.

Third-party sites

We may link to carriers, payment providers, social networks, or other websites we do not control. Their accessibility is their responsibility. If a link we use creates a barrier, tell us and we will pass the issue along when we can.

How to get help or report a barrier

If you have trouble reading a page, using a control, or placing an order, email **hello@mossandfawn.com** with “Accessibility” in the subject line.

Please include:

- The page web address
- What you were trying to do
- Your browser and device
- Any assistive technology you use
- A short description of the problem

We aim to reply within 3 business days. If you need product information or want to place an order by email, we will help you do that.

Questions about the Accessibly toolbar itself can be sent to hello@accessiblyapp.com. Questions about Moss & Fawn pages, products, and orders should come to us at hello@mossandfawn.com.

Continuous improvement

We review this statement when we change our theme, add a major app, or receive accessibility feedback. The date at the top is the last review date.

Invert colors
Invert the colors of the website content. For those with decreased vision, the high contrast greatly helps to read the site better.
Tweak Contrast | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
This feature lets users manually select from two options: to enhance the contrast of the website or to decrease the contrast.
Tweak Brightness | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
This feature lets users update the brightness on the site. The content can either be made brighter or darker.
Grayscale | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
Users can turn on grayscale, making the website content appear only in shades of gray. This benefits people with visual impairment.
Reading Line
Add a supportive reading line to the site.
Readable fonts
Convert the fonts available on-site to one of the most easily readable fonts: Helvetica.
Alt Text and Images
Ability to read alt text of images. As of now, our tool has added a feature where alt descriptions for images without them are generated using Google's Vision AI. In the event that you haven't manually written these image descriptions yourself, this greatly helps people with visual impairment browse your site.
Tooltips | WCAG 2.1 / 2.5.3
Add labels to images that contain a written description of the image.
Highlight links
Highlight links to make them more prominent.
Hide images
Hide images on the site. This provides better site readability for people with visual impairment.
Read page
A feature that allows a voice to read the text on your site out loud to visitors.
